Shirley Roberts

Shirley Jean Roberts, 86, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

She was born on April 15, 1934 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Jess Dudley Fishback and Reva Frances Fishback.  She had retired from Kroger Grocery Store in Carrollton as a Deli Manager after 41 years of service.  She had also worked for Cartmell Elementary School in Carrollton as a Cook.  She was a member of the Carrollton O.E.S. #442 and the Worthville Baptist Church.  She loved to Cook, enjoyed going to Yard Sales and Flea Markets, loved to do Antique Restoration and was  an avid U.K. Fan.  She loved Carroll County and was a Proud Citizen.

She will be missed by her husband; Charles E. Roberts, to whom she married on December 24, 1953, a son; Charles Lee “Chuck” (Debbie) Roberts of Carrollton, KY, a brother; Paul Fishback of Carrollton, KY, a sister; Jodie (Mike) Kemper of Carrollton, KY, three grandchildren; Matthew Roberts of Carrollton, KY, Christopher Roberts of Carrollton, KY, and Michaela Roberts ( Brady Mahoney) of Fort Myers, FL, along with several nieces and nephews and two great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limited to the Funeral Home building occupancy to 50% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy.  We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements and all attendees will be required to wear a face mask.
