Joyce Burns

Joyce Faye Beach Burns, 73, of Carrollton, KY, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Shelbyville, KY.

She was born on February 22, 1948, in Campbellsburg, Henry County, KY, the daughter of Albert K. Beach of Carrollton, KY, and the late Alma Tackett Beach.  Joyce had worked for many years as a in home caregiver to the sick and elderly.  She was a member of the Relevant Church in Carrollton.  Joyce was a true giver to the less fortunate elderly and shut-ins, providing them with goodie bags that she made for them.  In her spare time, she enjoyed going to yard sales, sewing and embroidery work.

Joyce will be missed by her father, Albert K. Beach of Carrollton, KY, her husband, John Henry Burns of Carrollton, KY, two daughters, Alma (Barry) Shields of Ghent, KY, and Aleshia (Larry) Tallent of Carrollton, KY, three sisters, Ida Adkins of Waverly, OH, Gail Beach of Elizabethtown, KY, and Leona Henderson of Worthville, KY, three grandchildren, Justin Shields, Shane (Bobbie) Tallent and Amanda (James) Rockwell, six great grandchildren, Zoey Rockwell, Luke Tallent, Shelbie Rockwell, Brody Rockwell, Kayleigh Tallent and K.J. Kurtz, two step-grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Shields, two step-great grandchildren, Jagger and Jensen Shields.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Tackett Beach, her son, Johnny K. Burns, and two brothers, Wayne and Billy Beach.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
