Jerry Mefford

Jerry Lee Mefford, 70, of Worthville, KY, died on Tuesday, May 26,2020, at his home.

He was born on November 21, 1949 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Webb Suter Mefford and Laura Christine Polley Mefford.

Jerry was a member of Ghent Baptist Church.  He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing poker, fishing, and frog gigging. After retiring from Kentucky Utilities in 2017 as coal yard supervisor, he spent time caring for the grounds at Fairway Golf Course.

He will be dearly missed by his wife; Yvonne “Evie” D. Mefford, of Worthville, KY; two daughters; Karla A. (Cecil) Beach of Carrollton, KY, and Kandi L. Mefford of Carrollton, KY,  one son ; Cam L. (Stephanie) Mefford of Carrollton, KY, two stepsons ; Jimmy Wayne (Stacy) Ball of Wheatley, KY, Jeromy Lee (Megan) Ball of Louisville, KY., two sisters; Nellie O’Neal of Carrollton, KY , Barbara Garriott of Carrollton, KY, and nine grandchildren.    He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Carolyn Sue Meffford, a sister; Bessie Louise Mefford, and two brothers; J.W. Mefford and Webb Mefford, Jr.

A Private Memorial Service will be officiated by Rev. Katie Duvall Pryor at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
