James Hill

James F. “Jimmy” Hill, 94, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday morning, October 22, 2022, at the Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.

He was born August 16, 1928, in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Edward G. Hill and Frances Kuhlman.  Jimmy had worked for and served as part owner of Hill’s Dairy in Carrollton for many years.  He served his Country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Jimmy was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton.

He will be missed by his wife of sixty-seven years and eleven months, Shirley Ann Wilson Hill of Carrollton, KY, two sons, Steve (Sarah) Hill of Lake City, FL, and Darrell (Amy Jo) Hill of Columba, KY, four grandchildren, Emily (Justin) Sowards of Barbourville, WV, Stacia Hill of Columbia, KY, Andrew Hill of Lake City, FL, and Matthew Hill of Pineville, KY.

He was preceded by his parents, a brother, Eugene Hill, and two sisters, Rosemary Graves, and Mildred Mitchell.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
