Obituary

  Dereck E. Mershall, 58, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

  He was born on March 16, 1964, in Madison, Jefferson County, IN, the son of the late Edward Mershall and Norma Dutcher.  Dereck had worked in the Heating and Cooling Industry as an HVAC Technician.

  Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Norma and Larry Dutcher of Carrollton, KY, his son, Caleb Mershall of Carrollton, KY, a half-step son, Joshua Hoskins of Carrollton, KY, a brother, Tyler Dutcher of Logansport, IN, two sisters, Kimla Russell of Bedford, KY, and Angela Dalton of Louisville, KY, a grandchild, Elijah Mershall of Carrollton, KY.

  He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Cynthia Ray.

  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
