De' Curtis Taylor

De'Curtis Juelz “D.J." Taylor, 16, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

He was born on November 24, 2005, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, the son of William Taylor of Louisville, KY, and Julia Burgess of Carrollton, KY.  He was a Junior at Carroll County High School in Carrollton.  He enjoyed and was excelling in his electrical class at the Carroll County Vocational School and attended First Baptist Church of Carrollton Youth Group.

De’Curtis is survived by his parents, his maternal grandmother, Diane Meadows of Carrollton, KY, step-grandmother, Lolita Burgess of Tennessee, brothers, Nick Darnell of Louisville, KY, William Taylor, II. of Louisville, KY, Aaron Taylor of Louisville, KY, Kayne Scruggs of Carrollton, KY, and Jensen Burgess of Carrollton, KY, sisters, Kali Scruggs of Carrollton, KY, Shanna Taylor of Louisville, KY, Jewleena Taylor of Carrollton, KY, and Bailey Taylor of Louisville, KY.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ricky Burgess, Sr.
