Wilma Smith

July 22, 1935 — February 11, 2015

Wilma Jo Smith, 79, of Turners Station, KY, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on July 22, 1935 in Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Samuel Bryant Perry and Francis Mae McConnell Perry. She was a retired housewife and a farmer. She had also worked at the Kentucky Ladder Factory in Carrollton. She was a member of the Turners Station Baptist Church.

She will be missed by her husband, Arnold Ray Smith, Sr., of Turners Station, KY, three daughters, Wilma Carolyn Lindsey, Angie Saggus and Donna Spurr, all of Turners Station, KY, a sister, Barbara Sue Quire of Lockport, KY, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Arnold Ray Smith, Jr., on December 22, 2013, four sisters, Della Louise Robinson, Alice Ruth Beetem, Wanda Jean Jones and Lilly Mae Bowling, two brothers, John and Donald Perry, and a granddaughter, Samantha Mae Spurr.

Funeral Services were on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the English Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Kindoll officiating the service. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the funeral home and from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the English Baptist Church on Sunday. Burial was in the Saggusville Cemetery in Turners Station, KY.

Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.

Visitation

Visitation was from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the funeral home.

Funeral

2:OO P.M. Sunday at the English Baptist Church.

Interment

Burial was in the Saggusville Cemetery in Turners Station, KY.
