Virgil Warren Adcock, Sr.

Virgil Warren Adcock, Sr., passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on September 14, 1936, in Carrollton, Kentucky, he led a life marked by dedication and hard work, most notably as a Produce Manager for Kroger Grocery, from which he retired to embrace the joys of farming.

For 70 wonderful years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Nellena Josephine Adams Adcock. Together, they built a family that he was immensely proud of, including their son, Virgil Warren Adcock, Jr., of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, and another son, Danny M. (Sande) Adcock, of Cincinnati, Ohio. His daughter, Michele J. Crutcher, of Carrollton, Kentucky, also held a special place in his heart. Virgil found great joy in being a grandfather to six grandchildren, as well as a great-grandfather to several great-grandchildren.

Virgil was preceded in death by his father, Lawson H. Adcock; his mother, Helen Oak Adcock; his daughter, Karen Faye Adcock Chandler; and his brother, Lawson Adcock. The memory of these loved ones will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

As we remember Virgil Warren Adcock, Sr., we celebrate a life well-lived—a life full of love, family, and commitment. His legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched during his time with us.
