Vickie F. Winslow, born on April 19, 1954, in Madison, Jefferson County, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Vickie's presence touched the lives of all who knew her and her loss will be dearly felt by those she leaves behind.
Vickie was a beloved daughter to the late Curtly and Nadine Marsh and a cherished sister to her late sisters Linda Harmon, Bonnie Doll, Patsy Kendall, Sheila Oldham, and Stella Young, and a brother, Gordon Douglas Marsh. During her life, she also mourned the passing of her dear husband, Mark Winslow, and her treasured canine friend Peaches.
Family meant everything to Vickie. She is survived by her loving children: daughters Jennifer(Bobby) Kron and Jamie (Henry) Payton, and son Jason (Holly) Kendrick. Her brother, Danny Marsh, continues to carry forward the Marsh family legacy. Vickie also leaves behind her feline companions, Willow and Ebony, who held special places in her heart.
Vickie had retired as a Correctional Officer at K.C.P.C. in La Grange, KY. She had previously managed the former BeeHive Assisted Living Center in Carrollton. Vickie was always up for watching a scary movie or spending time with her grandchildren. She had been a member of Faith Community Church in Carrollton for many years with many of her close family members.
Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to a visitation, which will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Doll officiating the service.
As we gather to remember Vickie, we honor her legacy of compassion, resilience, and warmth. Though her absence leaves a profound void, her life will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Carroll County Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
