Vanessa Gilbert

Vanessa Ann Howard Gilbert, age 62, of Shelbyville, KY, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.  She was born in Carrollton, KY on August 3, 1955 to the late Donald and Mary Jo Bickers Howard (Barrickman).  She was a member of Carrollton United Methodist Church and formerly worked in medical records at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville, KY, was a housewife and enjoyed cooking and reading cook books.

Survivors include; her husband; Mike Gilbert, a daughter; Lee Ann Wright of Carrollton, KY, a son; Brigg Wallace of Lexington, KY, a brother; Don E. Howard of Carrollton, KY and two grandchildren; Derrick Wright and Breauna Wright, both of Carrollton, KY.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Louis C. Barrickman.
