Thomas Jerry Lucas, 71, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on February 1, 1944 in Covington, Kenton County, KY, the son of the late Gayle Lucas and Bessie Lee Allen Lucas. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Worthville Christian Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post #200 in Louisville, KY.
He honorably served his country during the Vietnam Era as a Sergeant in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Grace Abbott Lucas of Carrollton, KY, three sons, Mark Allen Lucas of Lusby, MD, Michael Wayne Lucas of Wheatley, KY, and Dwight David Lucas of Carrollton, KY, a daughter, Kimberly Jane Adams of Worthville, KY, a brother, Howard David Lucas of Cincinnati, OH, thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Larry, Garry and Richard Wayne Lucas.
The American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton will present Military Honors at the Graveside.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Visitation
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Funeral
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Jerry Knox officiating the service at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home..
Interment
Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
