Thelma Ward

Thelma Lee Ward, 88, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Baptist Health Hospital in La Grange, KY.
She was born on August 5, 1927 in Carroll County, KY the daughter of the late Johnnie Simmons and Pauline Breeden Simmons. She was a homemaker and a member of the Carrollton Wesleyan Church.
She is survived by her companion, Ulysses A. "Fordy" Ford of Carrollton, KY, her son, Denny (Mary Lou) Ward of Scottsburg, IN, a brother, Vernon Simmons of Carrollton, KY, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Ward on October 1, 1999, a sister, Minnie Mitchell, and three brothers, Harold, Doug and Carol Simmons.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the 1:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Haynes officiating the service. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
