Tamara Gwen "Tammy" Beach

Tamara Gwen "Tammy" Beach, age 75, of Carrollton, Kentucky, a retired custodian at Kathryn Winn Primary School, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024, in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was born on January 13, 1948, in Madison, Indiana. 

Tammy had a fulfilling career as a custodian at Kathryn Winn Primary School, where she dedicated her time and efforts to ensuring the school was clean and welcoming for the students. Her hard work and dedication made Tammy an important part of the school community.

In her free time, Tammy enjoyed playing computer games and watching mystery and cooking shows. She found joy in attending auctions, where she could find unique treasures. Tammy's hobbies brought her great happiness and allowed her to unwind from her busy schedule.

Tammy graduated from Carroll County High School in 1968. She cherished her school years and made lifelong friendships during that time. 

Tammy is survived by her sons Jared Smith of Falmouth, Kentucky, and Wes Smith of Bedford, Kentucky, a stepdaughter Jenna Perry of Manchester, Tennessee, and two stepsons, Elmer W. Beach, Jr. of Madison, Indiana, and Elzey Beach of Manchester, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her sisters Sheila McAlister of Turners Station, Kentucky, and Cindy Chadwell of Carrollton, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, as well as her loyal companion Rosie, her dog.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Taylor and Velma Kindoll Taylor, her husband, Elmer Beach, Sr., as well as her daughter, Jennifer Gwen Smith.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11th, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave in Carrollton, Kentucky. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.  A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 11m 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
