Tad Duane Lee Welch, 50, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 4, 2023, near Carrollton, KY.  Born on April 11, 1973, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, the son of the late William Dale "Billy" Welch and Shirley Martin Beard of Hanover, IN. Tad lived a remarkable life filled with dedication and warmth.

His career was marked by his commitment to serving others. At the time of his passing, he was working as a Med Tech and Barber at Valley Haven Personal Care Home in Sanders, KY. Prior to this, Tad had served as a Police Officer for several organizations including the Burlington Police Department, the Boone County Sheriff's Department, and the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. His passion for safeguarding his community and upholding justice was evident in his unwavering dedication to his work.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tad will be fondly remembered for his vibrant spirit and talents. During his high school days, he became renowned for his impeccable dance moves and impressive impersonation of Michael Jackson. His performances were always met with applause and admiration from those around him.

 He graduated from Carroll County High School in 1991 and then attended Morehead State University for a few years. 

Outside of work, Tad found joy in various hobbies and interests. He had an immense love for old cars and motorcycles, which fascinated him with their timeless charm. Additionally, Tad was an avid sports enthusiast, finding solace and excitement in the world of sports.

Among Tad's proudest accomplishments was his baptism in the Baptist Church. His faith provided him with strength and solace throughout his journey, guiding him through both joyous and challenging times.

Tad is survived by his loving mother, Shirley Martin Beard, and stepfather, Paul Beard of Hanover, IN. He also leaves behind a sister, Sedayah Welch of Carrollton, KY, and two brothers, Bill Welch, Jr. of Lexington, KY, and Cody Welch of Carrollton, KY.   He is also survived by two stepbrothers, Paul K. Beard and Jeremy Beard, both of Carrollton, KY and a stepsister, Angie Beard Wilson of Madison, IN. Tad's close-knit family will cherish the memories they shared with him and find solace in each other during this difficult time.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the funeral home. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends and family to come together to honor Tad's memory and share cherished stories.

Tad Duane Lee Welch will forever be remembered as someone whose vibrant presence brought happiness and joy to those around him. His infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering devotion will continue to inspire others for years to come.
