Shannon Dale Mahoney

  Shannon Dale Mahoney, 47, of Louisville, KY, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

  He was born on September 4, 1975, in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Richard C. Mahoney and Ellen G. Baker Mahoney of Carrollton, KY.  He had worked as a self-employed sub-contractor and especially loved installing roofs.  Shannon was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed building and crafting things with his hands.  He loved to play the guitar and sing and spend time with his children.

  Shannon is survived by his two son’s; Calvin Mahoney of Columbus, OH, and Shannon D. Mahoney, Jr., of Carrollton, KY, six daughters; Tyler Mahoney and Paige Mahoney, both of Columbus, OH, Cosondra Mahoney of Carrollton, KY, Katlynn Mahoney of Worthville, KY, Jennifer Mahoney of Frankfort, KY, and Amaya R. Mahoney of Louisville, KY, a sister; Lorrie Ann Hayden of Louisville, KY, and two grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his father; Richard C. Mahoney on August 30, 2015, and a son; David B. Mahoney.

  Arrangements are pending at this time and have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
