Samuel E. Newsome, 81, of Leavenworth, IN., formerly of Carroll County, KY., died on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN.
He was born on April 9, 1930 in Wheatley, KY., the son of the late Samuel B. Newsome and Josephine McKinney Newsome.
Local survivors include a sister, Alma Smith of Ghent, KY., and a brother, Billy R. Newsome of Sanders, KY., he is also survived by four daughters, Sherry Newsome, Linda Olsen, Diane Currier,Patricia Pruneda and twelve grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
