Ruth Bates

Ruth Anne Bates, 63, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Carrollton, KY, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 21, 2018 with her family by her side in Knoxville, TN.

She was born on July 1, 1954 in Bayonne,  Hudson County NJ,  the daughter of the late Robert Bates, Sr. and Marietta (Luker) Bates.  She currently worked for GSK Pharmaceutical Company in Knoxville, TN, as a regional team manager.  She enjoyed running, hiking in the mountains and gardening.

She will be missed by her brothers and sister, Robert Bates of Madison, IN, Betty Bates Mills of Louisville, KY, Eugene  Bates of Carrollton, KY, Mark (Carol) Bates of Sanders, KY, Charles (Vickie) Bates of Lexington, IN, and a niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local  arrangements.
