Roy Miles

Roy T. Miles, 85, of Sanders, KY., died on Tuesday morning, January 2, 2007 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.
He was born on November 21, 1921 in Owen County, KY., the son of the late Tony and Sylvia (Morgan) Miles. Roy was a retired farmer and a founding member of the Pioneer Power Tractor Club. He was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country during W.W.II.
Survivors include his wife; Mary Louise Miles, a daughter; Wanda G. Raisor of Sanders, KY., two sons; Calvin R. Miles of Ghent, KY., and Randal D. Miles of Sanders, KY., four grandchildren, three step - grandchildren and one step - great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Anna Perry, Naomi and Dolly Miles, one brother; Luther Miles and two grandsons; Christopher Alan Miles and Matthew Lewis Miles.
The Rev. John Collett officiated the funeral service on Friday, January 5, 2007 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Memorial Gifts were given to the Jordan Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
