Robert Arnold Austin, 82, of Ghent, Ky died Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 16, 1933 in Casey County, Ky to Everett and Elsie Tapscott Austin. He was of the Baptist faith, farmed in Carroll County for over 40 years and was a machine operator with the Ford Motor Co. plant in Sharonville, OH over 30 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: his wife; Mayme J. Privett Austin, three daughters; Connie Patton of Sanders, KY, Jamie Sue Austin of Norbett, OH and Beverly Jo Wallace of Sanders, KY, a son; Robert Duane Austin of Ghent, KY, a brother; Jimmy Austin of Liberty, KY, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Everett Austin, Jr.
