Raymond Miller

June 6, 1930 — November 22, 2015

Raymond "Ray" Rodgers Miller, 85, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on June 6, 1930 in Frankfort, Franklin County, KY, to the late Arthur Miller, Sr. and Flora Lillis (Rodgers) Miller. He retired in 1990 from Bell South Telephone Company as a Switchman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and also had served as a Deacon at the Church. He was a sixty year member of the Frankfort Hiram Masonic Lodge #4.

He served is country during in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his second wife, Celia Logan Miller of Carrollton, KY, two sons, David P. (Roberta) Miller of Sharpsburg, KY, and Timothy J. Miller of Woodstock, GA, a sister, Mary Elizabeth Goins of Alabama, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Poole Miller on June 29, 2010, four brothers, Arthur, Jr., Hartwell, Earl and George Miller, three sisters, Madelyn, Sylvia and Joyce.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Ray Miller Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation

Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and from Noon - 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

Funeral

Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton with the Rev. Dr. Chris White officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
