Raymond Meadows

Raymond Leon Meadows, 73, of Carrollton, KY, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born February 22, 1949, in English, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late John Meadows and Elizabeth Ann Chilton Meadows of Carrollton, KY.  Raymond had retired from the Henry County Road Department as a heavy equipment operator.  After his retirement from the road department in 1996, he took an interest in farming.  He had attended Henry Christian Church in Eminence, KY.  Some of his favorite hobbies that he enjoyed was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, hunting, and fishing.

Raymond served his Country honorably in the United States Marine Corps., during the Vietnam Era until a family hardship forced him to return home to be with his father.

He is survived by his two sons; Jeff (Melissa) Welch of Sanders, KY, and Jason (Linda) Meadows of Port Royal, KY, three daughters; Tammy West of Carrollton, KY, Kimberly Dawson of Port Royal, KY, P.J. (Ronnie) Knight of Carrollton, KY, his companion of several years, Loyda Johnson of West Baden Springs, IN, a brother; Carroll Meadows of Carrollton, KY, a sister; Diane Meadows of Carrollton, KY, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father; John Meadows, his stepfather; Leslie “John” Peelman, four brothers; John Mike Meadows, Joey Lee Meadows, William and Ricky Meadows.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
