Raymond Douglas "Doug" Crawford

Raymond Douglas "Doug" Crawford, born on June 23, 1951, in Owen County, Kentucky, passed away on February 2, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Doug was a man renowned for his witty humor and playful personality, always possessing a knack for light-hearted teasing that brought joy to those around him.

Doug proudly served his community for many years as a dedicated employee of the Carroll County Road Department until his retirement. In addition to his professional achievements, he was an active member of Jordan Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and support within the congregation.

A devoted husband for 55 years, Doug leaves behind his cherished wife, Rita Crawford. He is also survived by his son, Bryan (Tracie) Crawford of Sanders, KY.  Doug shared a special bond with his brothers; Dennis (Cheri) Crawford of Hebron, KY, and  Grover (Linda) Crawford of Sanders, KY, and continued to be a loving presence in the lives of his grandsons, Cole Crawford and Ross Crawford.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Newton Crawford, and his mother, Wanda Lee Crawford Simonton. Doug's legacy is one of laughter, kindness, and community spirit, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Kentucky, on February 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 7:00 PM. The family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate Doug's life.
