Phoeba Marlene Helton

 Phoeba Marlene Helton, 71, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY.

  She was born on August 28, 1951, in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH, the daughter of the late Miles Lee Miller, Sr., and Anna Elizabeth Kirby.  Marlene as many people knew her was a housewife and homemaker.  She met her husband at the age of 16 and shared over 52 years together with him.  She enjoyed singing and playing music, a game of badminton, going for a swim, but the temperature had to be 90 degrees or higher for that to occur, she loved browsing through Facebook and seeing what was going on everywhere and she especially enjoyed spending time with her  grandchildren.

  Marlene will be missed by her husband; Delmer Helton, Sr., of Lawrenceburg, IN, her son; Delmer Helton, Jr., of Cleves, OH, her daughter; Linda  Darlene (Troy, Sr.) Hardesty of Colerain, OH, a brother; Rev. Miles Miller, Jr. of Carrollton, KY, three sisters; Sharon McKinney of Crittenden, KY, Flora Wethington of Sparta, KY,  Frances Davis of Dayton, OH, four grandchildren; Ashley Helton, Delmer Helton, III., Troy Hardesty, Jr. and Kaitlin  Hardesty.

  She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers; Thomas Orurk and Richard Wayne “Dickie” Miller, and two sisters; Linda Miller at the age two and Reba Clifford.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Calvary Apostolic Church in care of the funeral home.

  The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
