Peggy Varner

Peggy Lyles Varner, 62, of Fountaintown, IN., died on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, IN.

She was born September 13, 1942 in Madison, IN., the daughter of the late Wilbur J. Crockett and Thelma (Booth) Crockett Hume of Carrollton, KY.

Peggy married Mark A. Varner in 1990. She was a housewife and a member of Brookville Road Community Church in New Palestine, IN. Peggy was a former resident of Danville, KY., from 1964 to 1976 serving as Administrator at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home

Other survivors beside her mother and husband include a daughter; Lee Ann Yager of Newton, IL., two sons; Todd Lyles of Louisville, KY., and Chris Lyles of Lawrenceville, IL., a step-daughter; Stacey O'Dell of Robinson, IL., a step-son; Mark Eric Varner of Lawrenceville, IL, a brother; Mike Crockett of Carrollton, KY., and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother; Bobby Crockett.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made in Peggy's honor to the Hancock Memorial Hospital Foundation - C.C.U. Expansion. Donations may be mailed to the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 HIghland Ave., Carrollton, KY 41008.
