Pam Gaines Knox

Pam Gaines Knox of La Cruz, Mexico passed away on May 20, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1955, in the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, KY.

Pam was a Carroll County High School Class of 1973 graduate, and she attended Eastern KY University. She was a Master Gardener and loved landscaping, house plants and flower gardening. During her time in Colorado, she held positions as manager of casinos in Central City and Blackhawk, CO. After retiring she and Michael moved from Colorado to live in La Cruz, Mexico.

Pam is survived by her husband Michael Knox of La Cruz Mexico, her sons Ryan Hanlon and wife Ashley, Evan Hanlon, and stepsons Eric Knox and James Knox. Other surviving family members are grandchildren, Kaden, Ellie, Ben and Carson, her twin brother Paul, her niece Traci, and great nephew Logan. She will be remembered and missed by her numerous friends in Kentucky, Colorado and Mexico.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Pete and Claire Gaines, sister Candy Gaines Raisor and brother Kim Gaines.

Graveside services will be June 27th at 1:00 pm in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery. A reception and celebration of life will be held at the home of Lynne Pritchett following the service.
