Naomi Ruth Wainscott, 86, of Carrollton, KY, died on Friday, June 26, 2020 at her home in Carrollton.
She was born on October 26, 1933 in Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Herbert Courtney and Hattie B. Wheeler Courtney. She had worked all her life including at the Teledyne Wirz factory in Carrollton, Dairy Queen, Vanity Fair, most recently North Key in Carrollton. She had delivered newspapers for the Madison Courier and Courier Journal for many years. She was a member of the Relevant Church in Carrollton.
She is survived by her daughter; Charlene (Mike) Terrell of Carrollton, KY, her son; Duane “Dewey” Wainscott of Carrollton, KY, her sister; Dorothy Sharon of Worthville, KY, four grandchildren; Bryan (April) Wainscott, Miranda (Jonathan) Monroe, Josh Wainscott and Brandon (Amanda) Terrell, eleven great grandchildren and one great - great grandchild also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Charles B. Wainscott, a sister; Bessie Lucas, and three brothers; Eunice Lee Courtney, Cecil Norman Courtney and Herbert Eugene Courtney.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Relevant Church with the Rev. Rusty Bennett officiating the service. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the Relevant Church from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
