Nancy McMahan, of the Carrollton community, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on May 22, 1958, in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.. She honorably served many years at the former Parkview IGA in Carrollton, where her warm demeanor and dedication to customer service left a lasting impression on many.
A member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Nancy professed her faith in Christ at an early age. Her spiritual beliefs were central to her life and inspired those around her. She approached life with kindness and compassion, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need.
Nancy's interests included a passion for cooking, which brought joy to her family and friends alike. She was also an avid supporter of U.K. Basketball. Her love for dancing and listening to various music genres, including Country, Blues, Southern Gospel, and Bluegrass, brought vibrancy to her spirit.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Steven L. McMahan, of Carrollton, KY, as well as her brothers: Ray (Maxine) Willis of Lexington, KY; Arnold "Shorty" (Wanda) Willis of Lexington, KY; Jerry (Faye) Willis of Lawrenceburg, KY; Mike (Charlene) Willis of Nicholasville, KY; and Gary Willis of Lexington, KY. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Willis and Mary Belle Watkins Willis; a sister, Brenda Lee Brundage; and a brother, Danny Dale Willis. Their memories remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
Viewing services for Nancy will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave, Carrollton, KY 41008. A funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at the funeral home. Following the service, a graveside service will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, located at 4623 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY 40213, at 2:00 PM.
As we remember Nancy McMahan, let us celebrate her joyful spirit, her unwavering faith, and the indelible mark she left on the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but will forever live on in our hearts.
