Michael Alan Spurr, 65, of Turners Station, Carroll County, Kentucky, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Turners Station, Carroll County, Kentucky, after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side. He was born on January 18, 1961, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky.
His whole life had revolved around the trucking industry, having worked for Kentucky Ladder, Shaffer Trucking, Pegasus Trucking and C.R.S.T. Trucking. In his spare time, he loved to watch old Western's and Car Shows on TV. He was a member of the English Christian Church but had been attending English Baptist Church.
Michael will be remembered with love by those closest to him. He is survived by his mother, Mary Eileen Rowlett Spurr Moore; his wife, Donna Smith Spurr; his sons, Michael Ray Spurr, Thomas Lee Spurr, and Steven Alan Spurr; his sister, Susan Kay Mobley, and his brother, Archie Brian Spurr. The love of his family surrounded him throughout his life and remained with him in his final moments.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Ray Spurr; his daughter, Samanth Mae Spurr; and his sister, Phyllis Lynn Spurr. Their memories remained an enduring part of his life and are now reunited with him in rest.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at English Baptist Church (Brick Church), 3449 KY-389, Carrollton, Kentucky 41008. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at English Cemetery, KY-389, Carrollton, Kentucky 41008.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
