Marcella Marcum Adcock was born in Estill County, Kentucky on June 24, 1932. She was a 1950 graduate of Carrollton High School. On July 6, 1954, she married Lawson J. Adcock.

Preceded in death by her parents Earl and Roxie Tyree Marcum, husband Lawson J. Adcock, brother Matthew E. Marcum and her sister and brother-in-law Carla E. and Sherman Kopp.

She is survived by Stella (Jerry) Caudill Carroll County, KY and Diane (Art) Tokar Hillsboro, Ohio. Grandchildren Lawson Sterling (Becky) Caudill Carroll County, KY, Harrison (Elizabeth) Caudill Bainbridge Island, WA, Morgan Tokar (Drew) McFarland Hillsboro, OH and Alexandra Tokar (Jesse) Greene Alexandria, KY also great-grandchildren: MacKenzie, Fiona, Alia, Maverick, Raeleigh, and Aiden.

Marcella was a member of the Cove Hill Baptist Church since 1954 where sh taught Sunday School for 50 years and is best remembered for teaching the Beginners Class. She was also active in VBS and WMU.

Because of her love of history, she served on the Historical Committee at Cove Hill Baptist and was a board member for the Port William Historical Society.

Marcella was active in 4-H as a leader at local, regional and state levels. She also supported education through PTA and served on local and state advisory committees.

Pallbearers: Lawson Sterling Caudill, Drew and Morgan McFarland, Jesse and Alexandra Greene, Harish Venkatachalam.

Honorary pallbearers: Jerry Caudill, Art Tokar, Becky Caudill, Warren Adcock, Harrison Caudill

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may take the form of gifts to Cove Hill Baptist Church or Port William Historical Society.
