Mamie Wallace

Mamie Cordina Wallace, 86, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on March 27, 1933 in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the daughter of the late Norvin “Pete” Martin and Ida Mae (Wiley) Martin.  In her younger years she had worked for Ison Brothers Furniture Factory in Carrollton and over the last 40 years she had worked as a house cleaner.  She loved to garden, plant flowers, go shopping and she had traveled every state in the country, some twice.  She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton.

She is survived by her son in-law, Grant Butters, Jr. of Bedford, KY, two sisters, Linda Phillips of Carrollton, KY, and Pamilla (Bob) McKinney of Hanover, PA, two grandchildren, Andrew Butters of Bedford, KY, and Cindy Butters of Charlestown, IN, two great grandchildren, Bethany Butters of Broadhead, KY, and Erin Butters of Somerset, KY, along with seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Wallace on May 21, 1993, a daughter, Alice Marie Butters on July 6, 2015, a son, Tim Wallace in October of 2018, a brother, David Martin on June 9, 2000.
