Madglean "Madge" Bergkamp

Madglean "Madge" Mays Howard Bergkamp, 89, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Green Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, KY.

She was born on July 11, 1925 in Benge, Clay County, KY, the daughter of the late Sallie Belle Mays. She was a retired Night Auditor and Bookkeeper at the Holiday Inn after twenty years of service. She was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church and served on the ladies auxiliary at the church. She was a member of ladies auxiliary at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital and had volunteered in the gift shop at the hospital.

She is survived by a son, Richard "Ricky" Howard of Carrollton, KY, two step - daughters, Pat Davis of New Hampshire and Ruth Covington of North Carolina, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her first husband, A.Z. Howard on April 27, 1969 and her second husband, Harry Bergkamp on October 5, 1990, her son, Jimmie Howard in 2002.

Funeral Services were on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Carrollton Christian Church with the Rev. Timothy Polley officiating the service. Visitation was from 11:00 A,M. - 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Carrollton Christian Church. A Graveside Service was at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Burning Springs, KY.

Memorial Gifts:

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carrollton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.

Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Carrollton Christian Church with the Rev. Timothy Polley officiating the service.

Interment

A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Burning Springs, KY with the Rev. J. C Dunsil officiating.
