Lorrie Ann Hayden

February 18, 1971 — April 27, 2024

Louisville

Lorrie Ann Hayden, born Lorrie Mahoney on February 18, 1971, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, died on April 27, 2024, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. She was a former Licensed Practical Nurse, with her most recent employment being at Gallatin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, KY.

Lorrie was a 1989 graduate of Carroll County High School, where she laid the foundation for her successful career in nursing. Her compassion and commitment to providing care to those in need left a lasting impact on all whom she encountered.

Apart from her professional life, Lorrie had a passion for gardening and nurturing flowers. Additionally, she had a special place in her heart for children and cherished every moment spent interacting with them.

Tragically, Lorrie's life was cut short by a senseless act of domestic violence, leaving her loved ones and community devastated by the loss of such a kind-hearted soul.

Lorrie was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Richard C. Mahoney on August 30, 2015, and her brother Shannon Dale Mahoney on March 25, 2023. She is survived by her mother, Ellen G. Baker Mahoney of Carrollton, KY; her son Zachary Hayden of Springfield, IL; and her niece Jenny Mahoney of Frankfort, KY - whom she raised as a daughter.

In honoring the memory of Lorrie Ann Hayden and the legacy she leaves behind, let us remember her for the love she shared with those around her and the dedication she showed throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services are pending at this time and arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
