Lisa Ann Mead

Lisa Ann Mead, 67, of Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, departed to glory on Friday, April 21, 2023, at her home in Carrollton.

She was born on August 24, 1955, in Flint, Genesee County, MI, the daughter of the late Don Mead and Beth A. Wagoner Mead. Lisa had spent most of her life caring for others as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent most of her career with Baptist Hospitals in Louisville, KY.

Lisa was a true animal lover, especially her cats, whom she cared for greatly, just like they were her children. She enjoyed volunteering at animal shelters. Lisa was an avid quilter and enjoyed making quilts for the sick, and she always enjoyed her time with her quilting group.

She is survived by a nephew and a niece, several dear friends who appreciated her,and her quilting group.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy Rathburn.

  Graveside Services will be on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Devin Olachea officiating the service at the Louisville Memorial Gardens East. 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, KY, 40241.  No Public visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carroll County Food Pantry in the care of the funeral home.
