Lillian Warfield, formerly known as Lillian Hunter, of Carrollton, Kentucky, passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 95, in Carrollton. She was born on May 29, 1928, in Salvisa, Kentucky. Lillian led a fulfilling life filled with love, family, and various interests.
In her professional journey, Lillian had previously worked at the Carrollton Cabinet Company until its closure. In her later years, she dedicated herself to being a homemaker, where she found joy in caring for her loved ones.
Lillian Warfield's interests were diverse and colorful. She found solace and contentment in gardening, quilting, and painting, and was renowned for her exceptional culinary skills.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Madison, IN, and had served as Sunday School Teacher for many years.
Lovingly remembered by her surviving family are two sons: Larry and his wife Ellen Jones of Carrollton, KY; Lonnie Jones and his companion Lori Bentley of Bedford, KY. Additionally, her dear friend and caregiver Carolyn M. Jones of Carrollton mourns her loss. Lillian leaves behind eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory forever.
Lillian Warfield was predeceased by her father Connie Hunter and her mother Lillie Mae Humble Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her first husband William Carol Jones and second husband Elwood "Woody" Warfield. Her daughter Vonda McGuire held a special place in her heart.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters: Mary Ellen Hunt, Agnes Smith, and Evelyn Frances Vick; brothers: Bill Hunter, Hubert Darrell Hunter, Douglas Wayne Hunter, Richard Hunter; Chester Lee Hunter; Hershel Gene Hunter; as well as a grandson Christopher Robin Jones.
Services to honor and celebrate the life of Lillian Warfield will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home located at 809 Highland Ave in Carrollton at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 12th, 2024. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will be I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.
