Leo Mae Hunt

Leo Mae Chilton Hunt, 99, of Worthville, KY., died on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Union City Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Union City, TN.

She was born on October 28, 1907 in Henry County, KY., the daughter of the late William Preston Chilton and Mildred Jane "Jenny" (Chilton) Chilton. Leo was a homemaker and a former home caregiver to the elderly and infirmed. She was the oldest member of the Worthville Baptist Church and the former choir director for many years at the church, she was very active in all the activities of the church over the years.

Leo married Elliott Owen Hunt on October 17, 1925.

Leo is survived by three daughters; Nina Hunt Stewart of Worthville, KY., Reba Brock of Butler, KY., and Marcella Tomlinson of Union City, TN., eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Elliott Owen Hunt in 1952, one daughter; Charlotte Hunt, four sisters; Edna Wilson, Emma Baxter, Vora Leland and Rosa Tingle, one brother; Carl Chilton, one grandchild; Barbara Warner Brock and one great grandchild; Ryan Brock.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. James Kinsey and Rev. Jeremy McMurry officiating the service. Burial will be in the Worthville Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Worthvile Baptist Church or the Butler Baptist Church or the Sunswept Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
