Larry Thomas Kindoll, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Worthville, Kentucky, on July 7, 2026, with his loved ones by his side. Born on January 5, 1963, in Carrollton, Kentucky, Larry’s life was marked by devotion to family, tireless work, and a lively spirit that endeared him to all who knew him.
Larry’s work ethic was evident throughout his life. He dedicated over 20 years to the Ford Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, forging strong bonds with coworkers and making a lasting impact in his field. Larry was also deeply rooted in the land—as both a farmer and the proud owner and operator of his own long-haul trucking company. His involvement with Teamster's Local 89 Union reflected a commitment not just to his profession, but also to the camaraderie and wellbeing of those he worked alongside.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Larry found great joy in simple pleasures and lifelong hobbies. He enjoyed countless days farming, fishing, and hunting. His collection of Case Knives was a testament to a sharp appreciation for craftsmanship. Larry took pride in finding treasures at yard sales, flea markets, and auctions, always willing to share his finds and stories with friends and family. Those who knew him best recognized his unwavering love for his family—he was truly family-oriented and treasured time spent with his grandchildren above all else.
Larry’s presence at home was unforgettable. He will be fondly remembered for his playful spirit, especially his penchant for picking and trying to aggravate and annoy his wife and daughters, always with a twinkle in his eye and warmth in his heart. These moments of laughter and loving teasing became lasting memories that his family will cherish forever.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jennifer Kindoll; his daughters, Brittany (Bryan) McIntyre of Morehead, KY, Allison (James) Moore of Worthville, KY, and Hannah (Russell) Combs of Carrollton, KY, his siblings; Barbara (Bobby) Shepherd of Carrollton, KY, Vicki Hughes of Carrollton, KY, Sandy (Charlie) Harmon of Indiana, Gary "Tic" (Sandy) Kindoll of Carrollton, KY, and Ricky Kindoll of Carrollton, KY; Nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, seventeen nices and nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law, Tammy Plew. He leaves behind a devoted circle of family members who were steadfast in their love and support.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kindoll; his mother, Willanna Kindoll; his siblings, Gayla Tomlinson, Bradley Kindoll, and Randall Kindoll; and by his father-in-law, Billy Plew, and mother-in-law, Saondra Plew.
