Kenny Wayne Popp, age 64, of Turners Station, Carroll County, KY died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born on January 13, 1952 in Madison, Jefferson County, IN to Robert and Bertha Jane Wilson Popp. Kenny was retired from Steel Technologies in the industrial maintenance department. He was also a member of the Worthville Christian Church and a graduate of the University of Cincinnati — OMI earning a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance. He was past President of the U.A.W. Local and was an avid hunter and loved riding his Harley.
Survivors include, his wife, Penny Elaine Staples Hakes Popp, whom he married on May 6, 1977, two daughters, Scarlett Lee (Darren) Cannon of LaGrange, KY, Veronica "Doodle" (Kerry) Wilson of Carrollton, KY, a son, Christian DeWayne Popp of Turners Station, KY, a sister, Belinda Phillips of Worthville, KY and four grandchildren, John Robert Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Shane Cannon and Reese Cannon. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Randy Gene Popp.
