Kenneth Marvin Montgomery, age 81, of Carrollton, KY passed away Thursday morning, October 11, 2018 at the Norton’s Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on September 18, 1937 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY to Herbert Ray and Bernice Myrene Dunaway Montgomery. Ken retired after 32 years as Human Resources Manager at Kawneer Manufacturing Co., was a 1955 graduate of Carrollton High School, a member of the Carrollton Lodge #134 F.& A.M., and a former member of the Kentucky National Guard. He was a member of the English Baptist Church, but attended Carrollton Christian Church. He enjoyed coffee club at Welch’s Restaurant, golfing, woodworking, horseback riding, the beach, was a handyman. Ken also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia J. (Dunn) Montgomery, three daughters, Glenda Montgomery of Carrollton, KY, Gloria Habas of Louisville, KY and Gwen (Steve) Abbott of Carrollton, Ky and a son, Kenneth Gregory (Pamela) Montgomery of Hanover, IN; a sister, Anna Joyce Brown of Port Royal, KY and a brother, James Milton “Jim” Montgomery of Carrollton, KY, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with one great grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Delores Jean Robison and Nancy Carol Wright, three brothers, William Lee Montgomery, Edward Moore Montgomery and Harold Montgomery.
