Kenneth Wade Albert, born on Sunday, December 9, 1973, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He was a devoted husband, beloved son, and cherished brother, leaving a legacy of love and passion for life that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Kenneth was a graduate of Trimble County High School and worked as a Control Room Operator at the LG&E Trimble County Generating Station with the company of Day and Zimmermann, where he demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to his profession. He had been a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Kenneth’s interests were diverse and enriched his life greatly. He had a profound love for music, particularly playing the guitar, which brought joy to both himself and those around him. A true outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, often finding peace and solitude in nature. His talents also extended to carpentry work, where he could express his creativity and craftsmanship. Kenneth was a passionate sports fan, supporting the University of Kentucky Basketball team and the Cincinnati Bengals Football team, sharing his enthusiasm with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amy Marie Rector Albert, of Bedford, KY; his devoted mother, Patricia June Sutherland Albert, of Carrollton, KY; and his two brothers, Michael Todd Albert and Damon Joseph Albert, both of Bedford, KY. Kenneth took pride in being a stepfather to Joseph David McDowell and Lillian Ann McDowell, also of Bedford, KY. He leaves behind a treasured family network, including several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry forward his spirit.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kenneth "Bob" Albert; his brother, Robert Douglas "Bobby" Albert; his grandparents, Ismael and June Sutherland; his uncles Jim and Gary Sutherland; and his nephew, John Meredith.
Visitation for Kenneth will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, KY, on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service that will begin at 7:00 PM. His family invites all whose lives he touched to come together to honor his memory and celebrate his life.
