Joseph Thomas Kindlesparger

Joseph Thomas Kindlesparger, age 63, a dedicated custodian at Carroll County High School and Cartmell Elementary School, passed away on January 9, 2024, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky. He was born on October 26, 1960, in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO, to his loving parents Ward Wallace Kindlesparger and Mary Maudeline Martin Angelmeyer.

Joseph led an admirable life of service and hard work. He initially worked as a heavy equipment operator throughout the area before finding his calling as a custodian. Joseph's commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the students and staff was unparalleled. His presence will be greatly missed by the school community.

Outside of work, Joseph had a passion for NASCAR racing. He shared this interest with his former wife Teresa and together they traveled across the country to attend races, creating cherished memories along the way.

Joseph's passing leaves an immense void in the lives of those who loved him. He is survived by his beloved children: daughters Erica Rena Kindlesparger of Osceola, IN; Jennifer Lee Kindlesparger of Cincinnati, OH; Elizabeth Kay (Christopher) Bungenstock of Dry Ridge, KY; and son Joseph Thomas Kindlesparger II of Louisville, KY. His former wife Teresa Lynn Kindlesparger of Dry Ridge, KY also mourns his loss deeply.  He is survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.                  

Joseph was blessed with a close-knit family and is survived by his three sisters: Mary Jayne (Johnny) Potter of Tennessee; Brenda Lee Moss of Tennessee; Lisa Gail McCormick of Tennessee; and brothers, Robert William "Rob" (Denise) Kindelsparger of Delaware and Steven Keith Angelmeyer of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Tammi Lynn Jones.

A formal Celebration of Life Service will be held by his family at a later date.

Arrangments have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
