J.D. Arnold

March 15, 1924 — September 19, 2016

J.D. Arnold of Carrollton, KY, a kind and gentle man went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2016. He passed from this earthly scene at the age of 92 at the Robley Rex V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 15, 1924 in Worthville, Carroll County, KY; the son of the late Rella Arnold and Allie (Cottrell) Arnold. He was the oldest of six brothers and four sisters. He served with honor in the United States Army during World War II., fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, while fighting there he was injured and spent six month in a Texas Hospital receiving treatments for a trench feet. He was a very successful farmer for over 70 plus years raising Tobacco and Cattle. He was a prime supporter of Jordan Baptist Church.

He is survived by a sister, Hazel (husband Arnold) Ingram of Erlanger, KY; two brothers, Clinton (wife Wanda) Arnold of Owenton, KY; and Charles (wife Jane) Arnold of Florence, KY; and his very special friend, Judy Jones of Warsaw, KY.

Preceding him in death was his wife Anna Rose (Keeton) Arnold, his Parents, three sisters, Ruby Sachleban, Nolad Arnold and Mary Katherine Arnold. four brothers, Eugene Arnold, Ira Arnold, R.C. Arnold and Albert Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Jordan Baptist Church or the Carroll County F.F.A. in care of the funeral home.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Visitation

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Family Worship Center.

Funeral

Funeral Services will be on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the service.

Interment

Burial will take place in the Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery in Wheatley, KY.
