Janice Carol Meadows, 71, of Carrollton, KY, died on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at her home in Carrolton.
She was born on January 23, 1948 in Sulphur, Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Elmer Lee and Jean Marlette Cain. She had retired from the Carroll County Regional Detention Center as a Deputy Jailer, having held the rank of Sergeant. For many years she drove a School Bus for the Carroll County Board of Education before her work at the jail. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be missed by two daughters, Lynnette (Beth) Burden of Paris, KY, and Misty (Chris) Hembree of Carrollton, KY, two sisters, Bonnie Jean Meadows and Cathy Ann Fryman, both of Carrollton, KY, two brothers, James Robert “Bobby” Cain of Pompano Beach, FL, and David Glenn Cain of Carrollton, KY, eight grandchildren, Cody Hembree, Destiny McCollum, Logan Hembree, Alex McCollum, Gabriella Hembree, Jordan Breeden, Zayden Meadows and Jaycee Meadows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronnie Meadows on December 11, 2014, and four brothers, Arthur Lee Cain, Elmer Lee “Bubby” Cain, Jr, Robert Wright Cain and Billy Joe Cain.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the Family Worship Center. Burial will be in the Campbellsburg Masonic Cemetery in Campbellsburg, KY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Family Worship Center or The Dream Factory in care of the funeral home.
