Janet (GranGran) Herrell Thomas, 84, of Carrollton, Kentucky, died on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in Carrollton.
Janet was born on October 30, 1932 in Perry Park, Kentucky, the daughter of the late BD and Tiny (Carr) Herrell. Jan was a retired Kentucky State Reformatory employee, beauty salon owner, and member of the Carrollton Eastern Star.
She is survived by a daughter, Charm Cummings, Carrollton, Kentucky, one grandson, Beau Cummings of Worthville, Kentucky, two granddaughters, Jannie Cunningham of Perry Park, Kentucky and Joanie Cummings of Carrollton, Kentucky, along with five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Maynard Thomas.
At her request, no services are planned at this time.
