Janet Holliday

Janet Louise Osgood Holliday, 84, of Worthville, KY, died on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home in Worthville, KY.

She was born on November 15, 1938, at the old General Hospital in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry Stephen Osgood and Mildred Victoria Edin Osgood.   At a young age she was associated with Christ Episcopal Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Janet had worked for various companies throughout her life as an accountant and bookkeeper.  She was a member of the American Legion Post #41 Auxiliary in Carrollton, KY.

Some of her favorite things that she enjoyed doing included taking arts and crafts classes, she was always wanting to learn new things.  She loved nature, animals, and planting seeds, especially plants and vegetables not native to her area that could typically be hard to grow for most people, but she always gave it her best shot.  Janet loved traveling to various states and seeing the beauty of our Country.

She is survived by two daughters; Vicki (Mark) Metsker of Worthville, KY, and Sue Arvin of Madison, IN, a sister, Harriett Moore of Madison, IN, two grandsons; Mark Allen Metsker, Jr. and Charles Michael McCulley, four great granddaughters; Kaitlin Jane Schirmer, Breahna Faye, Kelsey Lynn and Clara Marie McCulley, seven great grandchildren; Natalie, Kingston, Arianna, Bentley, Steven, Symphony and Wyatt, eight nieces and nephews; Debbie, Ginny, Mike, Matt, Marty, Russell, Brenda and Donna.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her son in-law; Roger Arvin, a sister; Laverne Smith and two grandsons; Ronald Jameson Metsker and David Steven McCulley.

A Memorial Service will be announced by the family at a later date.

The Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
