James Willhoite

James Donald “Sandy” Wilhoite, age 93, of Carrollton, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Norton’s Brownsboro Hospital.  He was born in Gallatin County, KY on July 24, 1929, to Virgil Lee and Cynthia Mabel (Wheeler) Willhoite.  Sandy was a member of the Family Worship Center, a longtime farmer and retired maintenance supervisor at ATOChem (formerly M&T Chemical). He faithfully and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his daughter; Mimia Cynthia (Martin) Logsdon of Prospect, KY and his son; Timothy Lee (Tammie) Willhoite of Sumter, SC, four grandchildren; Erin (Jerry) Farnham, Jacob (Christen) Logsdon, Elijah James (Allison) Logsdon and Weslie Dudley, six great grandchildren; Andrew Farnham, Luke Farnham, Ben Logsdon, Annie Logsdon, James Logsdon and Evelyn Logsdon.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a son; James Kevin Willhoite (1991), three sisters; Hallie Keibler, Lura Lee Willhoite and Evelyn Foster and a brother; William E. Willhoite.

Memorial gifts may take the form of contributions to: Family Worship Center or Carroll County Food Pantry in care of the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
