James Norbert Miles, Sr., age 68, of Turners Station, Henry County, KY., died Monday, March 25, 2013 at Baptist Healthcare in Louisville, KY. He was born in Sanders, Carroll County, KY on April 9, 1944 to Estel and Dorothy Anderson Miles. A member of the Baptist faith, he was the former Director of Transportation for the Henry County School System, was a farmer and was active coaching youth baseball, t-ball and basketball. Survivors include two daughters; Jessica Miles Copley of Turners Station, KY and Erica Miles Shields of Carrollton, KY, three sons; James N. Miles, Jr. of LaGrange, KY, David Miles of Campbellsburg, KY and Jeromy Miles of Carrollton, KY, six sisters; Rita Booth of Louisville, KY, Patsy Miles of Carrollton, KY, Rebecca McBurney of Carrollton, KY, Anita Kellso of Carrollton, KY, Jackie Griffin of Pleasureville, KY and Debbie Bickers of Lexington, KY, three brothers; David Miles of Carrollton, KY, Charles "Billy" Miles of Murray, KY and Terry Miles of Perry Park, KY, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Betty Couch.Funeral Services will be held at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., with the Rev. Shawn Golden officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon until 2:00 P.M., Friday. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
