James Lee "Jim" McMannis

James Lee “Jim” McMannis, 96, of Campbellsburg, KY, passed away on May 16, 2023, at his home.

Jim was born on April 19, 1927, in Carroll County, KY, to the late Emmitt Lee “Tiny” McMannis and Maude Perkins McMannis. He served in the US Army Air Force in WWII as an Aircraft Mechanic. Jim was a retired farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and splitting wood. Jim was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, KY.

He will be missed by his wife, Lucille Newby McMannis of Campbellsburg, KY; his son, Darrin (Darlene) McMannis of Ghent, KY; five grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Campbell, Emilee (Jody) Bess, Amanda Simeons, Jeremy (Kelli) Jines, and Jason Wallace; and nine great-grandchildren, Addyson, Evan, Sidney, Josh, Bexley, Finley, Hailey, Dylan, and Mackdalina.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dennis McMannis, a daughter, Karen Booth, a brother, Harlen McMannis, and three sisters: Anna Katherine Layton, Irene Joslin, and Nancy Brent.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
