James L. Carr, Jr., 56, of Carrollton, KY, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his residence in Carrollton, KY. He was born on October 25, 1958 in Harlan, Harlan County, KY, the son of the late James L. Carr, Sr. and Edna Holmes Carr. He was a retired Coal Miner with the Bennett Coal Company in Harlan, KY. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacquline Moebius of Worthville, KY, two brothers, Jason Carr of Harlan, KY, and Johnny Carr of Florida, a sister, Janet Anglian of Tennessee, and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Carr.
A Gathering of Family and Friends was held on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home. Cremation has been chosen by the family.
