Jackson Frederick Cossairt, 88, of Carrollton, KY., died at 11:39 P.M.on January 1, 2005 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, KY.
He was the Son of the late Jackson Cossairt and Sadie Ada Shafer. Jackson was retired from Sears Roebuck Company after working 31 years in the Auto Department in Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church and a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army and a survivor of the Normandy Invasion of Omaha Beach. He was a Master Woodworker, enjoyed gardening and travel.
Survivors include his Wife: Emma Jean Stockdale Cossairt, whom he married on May 31, 1941, a Son; Jack Donald Cossairt of Aurora, IL., and two Grandchildren; Joseph Donald Cossairt of Westmont, IL and Sally Joan Cossairt Deal of Bristol, IL and two great grandchildren, Jackson Mack Cossairt and Laura Elizabeth Deal.
Rev. Amanda Hines and Rev. Steve Butcher will co-officiate the funeral service.
