Jack Gayle Schirmer, 75, of Ghent, KY, died on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his residence in Ghent, KY. He was born on October 10, 1939 in Ghent, Carroll County, KY, the son of the late Alfred Schirmer and Mary Elizabeth McDonald Schirmer. He was a former Environmental Control Manager at Dow Corning Chemical Company Carrollton Site.He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Geraldine Ogburn Schirmer of Ghent, KY, a brother, Harold B. Schirmer of Carrollton, KY, a sister in-law, Karen Ogburn of Ghent, KY, and a brother in-law, Rick L. (Laura) Ogburn of Louisville, KY, a nephew, Travis L. Ogburn of Louisville, KY, and a niece, Erica M. Ogburn of Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home.
Visitation
Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M., Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Ghent Baptist Church.
Funeral
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ghent Baptist Church with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating the service.
Interment
Burial will be in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, KY.
